Last night I had the distinct pleasure of lucking into tickets to go see Heart at our local ampitheatre (or “ampitheatere”, as one sign I saw spelled it:) Guess they couldn’t decide which spelling to go with!). I was lucky enough to see Heart in June of 2007 when came to the same venue, and last night’s show was just as good, if not even better. Let me tell you….Ann Wilson, at 60 years old, can rock it out just as good, if not even better, than many of the singers out today. She and Nancy barrelled their way through their classics “Dog and Butterfly”, “Alone”, “These Dreams”, “Barricuda”, “Crazy on You” and on and on. They have a new album dropping on August 31st, so they previewed three new tracks, and I must say — they were amazing! Heart is back, and not showing any signs of slowing down. I’ve been unable to find a full clip, but here’s a small excerpt of their new title track “Red Velvet Car”. I love love love it, and can’t wait for the new album!
If you’ve never had the pleasure of seeing Heart live, I highly advise you try to find the opportunity to do so. It’s an experience not to be missed!
P.S. The opening act was Cinderella. Anyone remember them?? 🙂
